- Choose the account into which you're depositing this money; then fill in

- the top half of the screen. Ordinarily, you'd leave the "Number" field

- blank, as we have. In the Payor field, you can enter not just where
-
- this money came from ("Publishers Clearinghouse") but also what it was
-
- for ("This year's prize money"). Note that when you leave the Amount
-
- field, we instantly add it to your account balance. (Make a change, and
-
- we change right along with you——no problem.)

- Now click a budget category or account in the bottom half of the screen.

- Perhaps this money came from from "Dividends." When you click, we fill
-
- in the rest of the screen. Make any changes you like. Note that when
-
- you leave the Amount field (either with the Tab key or Return key or by

- pointing and clicking), we adjust "Dividends to Date" accordingly.

- To make a change, go back to the category you misallocated to, click and
-
- enter the proper amount (or zero, if you allocated to it by mistake).

- find you've goofed, you can always choose Edit Transactions from the

- MONEY menu and make a change.
